The Surface Plate Centers are very portable and can be used with less strain and effort then the heavy cast iron base centers, without sacrificing accuracy. They also minimize space requirements on your surface plate. All components are replaceable including the hardened tool steel centers.

The uprights are adjustable on a hardened precision shaft. One upright has a spring activated lever to ease loading. All models have a guaranteed accuracy of .0002” between centers.

SPC-718

Model SPC-718 Centers can be used in horizontal or vertical applications. Typical horizontal inspections include diameter, run out and slot depths. Vertical inspections include face dish, squareness, and groove locations.

The uprights are adjustable on a hardened precision shaft. One upright has a spring activated lever to ease loading. All models have a guaranteed accuracy of .0002” between centers. The SPC-722 and SPC-832 centers are mounted to their own surface plates. They are most generally used in a production setting where only horizontal checking is required. These centers are made to the same precision specifications as the model SPC-718 units have.
